Zero Waste Forum 2026 offered me the opportunity to evaluate my work in sustainability from a broader perspective and to share my ideas with professionals from different disciplines.

Held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport on 5–6 June 2026, the forum brought together public institutions, academics, young people, civil society representatives and international speakers around a shared vision for the future. I attended the event alongside Türkiye’s Climate Ambassadors and followed discussions on zero waste, circular economy, climate diplomacy and the role of young people in climate action.

Throughout the forum, I had the opportunity to engage directly with speakers, experts and institutional representatives. These conversations allowed me to share my sustainability-focused design approach, discuss the projects I have been developing and gain new perspectives on the relationship between design, environmental responsibility and social impact.

The experience once again demonstrated that industrial design is not limited to the development of products. It also has the potential to influence resource use, production systems and everyday behaviours. When combined with environmental responsibility, design can create solutions that are more resilient, inclusive and meaningful.

More than an event, Zero Waste Forum 2026 became an important space for learning, exchange and new collaborations. The ideas and experiences I gained during the forum will continue to shape my future work in sustainable design.
